My
family and I stayed here for a fortnight in August 2000. This was our first
time abroad as a family and all-inclusive.
What an excellent first time it was! We had a late night flight with Air
2000 and arrived at our hotel at about 11:45 am.
We were immediately given a warm greeting at reception and a porter was
immediately on hand and helped with our luggage and shown to our rooms.
We then received a call on our room phone from reception, telling us that a
supper had been prepared for us in the restaurant.
We had an excellent time, and were never bored. We haven't been since then,
but if it is still run in the same way as it was in 2000, I can heartily
recommend it to anyone

have to
say that i have just returned from holiday last week and it was absolutely
fantastic, so good in fact that i wish i was still there. The waiters and
staff were all lovely and very friendly, although at times you would have to
wait a while to be served but they had lots of people to attend to so i
didn't mind. The day time entertainment programme is very good and you can
participate in lots of activities including darts, rifle shooting and water
polo and lots more. The club reps are fantastic and try to ensure that
everyone gets up and joins in and has a good time. The beach was very close,
about 10mins walk from the hotel.
The pools are lovely and you can always find a sun lounger to lay on while
the kids play in the pool, however pool was quite cold on some days. There
is some shops near by, and there is a market in Mahon on Tuesdays and
Saturday mornings that you can go to, but if travelling by bus it becomes
very packed, however you are not on the bus for very long. They had just
built a new little water area on the outskirts of the hotel (still part of
hotel) which my children had a great time at. There is a disco for over 18's
in the evening from about 11pm and was quite good however not very many
people were in there when i was there.
They also have a mini club that my children attended in the morning and
afternoon and they provide many different activities, like painting
t-shirts, dancing and mini golf etc. The evening entertainment was ok and
began at 8.30 with children's mini disco ( however songs very repetitive) and
then continued with live music, acting, dancing and so on. The food was
really great, they provide a buffet of many different types of food and it
would be hard not to find something that you liked. If you feel that you
have eaten too much food they provide exercise programmes throughout the day
and water aerobics which were very enjoyable if you have the energy and water
is not too cold!
The rooms are lovely and were adequate for my needs and they are cleaned
once a day. I really think that this hotel is brilliant and I would
definitely recommend this holiday, i will hopefully be able to return again
next year.

We went
at the beginning of may and the food was really good, although veggies may
find it difficult unless they want to eat salad for the week, our room was
very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this
hotel and resort to families and the older generation as the resort was very
quiet. I would suggest you rent a car as you can get from one end to another
in an hour. The entertainment was a bit hit or miss, but watch out for the
Spanish lady entertainer with long hair she was hilarious!
2008
Hotel
was very clean with excellent facilities for all the family. Food was
excellent with a wide range of dishes catering for everyone, however
poolside snack bar served burgers, chips and toasted sandwiches for those
who wanted macdonalds food.
Children were well catered for with excellent kids club, evening disco and
games and play areas. New splash pool nearly finished when we were there.
Rooms for couples were a little small but very clean, family room was very
good with separate bedroom for adults.
hotel was close to resort centre just down a slight hill. Beach was great, a
few local souvenir shops, bars and restaurants. Small train every hour to
next resort. Buses do get full outside the hotel so best to walk down the
hill to first stop. We found easier to get a taxi for 14 Euros This was in
May when it was a lot quieter so it is going to be harder to catch a bus in
July/August. May not suit teenagers/clubbers as it was a quiet resort
although hotel has a night club for those who want it.
