center of Sunny Beach

25 km. from the Burgas Airport and 60 km from the Varna

This hotel is made up of Hotel Rooms, 1/2 Bedroom Apartments, a few Suites
and a Presidential Suite.
We booked a 1 bedroomed apartment as it gave us a separate living area so we
could put our daughter to sleep and still be able to have an evening
together in the living room.
My first impression of the hotel was on our arrival at 4am in the morning
which is never a nice time to check in anywhere in the world! The reception
area is very airy and clean and you can sense that the hotel is something
special.
The Hotel complex itself is huge, with a mall running around it (it says
there are a 140 shops but i think there maybe far less than this).
As you walk into your accommodation, the decor is neutral, utilising a lot
of different browns/creams/gold which is gives it a sense of calm. The rooms
are spacious with a kitchenette area, a living area, a large bedroom and
seperate bath/shower room. The beds here are the largest we have stayed in,
probably due to the beds being 2 Queen beds pushed together! You get
satellite TV in your room but very few English speaking channels so if like
us you spend most of your evenings in your room due to your Childs sleeping
patterns, you will soon become fully aware of whats going on in the world by
watching either CNN or BBC World News.
The hotel has 4 seperate pools. One main large pool, then a second smaller
one. Then there is a smaller children's pool which turned out to be our
saviour. Then there is an indoor pool, but a word of warning, its absolutely
freezing!! There are also a couple of small Jacuzzi pools too.
This hotel would be better suited in a more upmarket location as Sunny Beach
just does not do it justice.
2008
My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the royal beach.
The hotel was very busy at the start of our week but most people had gone
home at the weekend but the great service wasn't compromised.
We are a middle aged couple as were the majority of guests which composed of
germans, british,bulgarians and scandanavians and we thought it was a good
atmosphere in the restaurant and bar areas.
Our room was on the fifth floor with a sea and pool view which was superb
when the sun was out on 4 of the 7 days due to the changeable weather. The
room was large, clean and the large fridge came in handy. The heated indoor
pool and gym were excellent as not many people used the facilities and we
had them both to ourselves on a couple of days.
The food was really good as they had a different theme to the food every
night and you can eat as much as you like which we did. We ate in the buffet
restaurant every day and didn't even try the a la carte once.
We read the previous reports on the general appearance of Sunny beach as
being tacky and blackpool like but we were pleasantly surprised as nobody
gave us any hassle hauling us into bars and clubs and certainly nothing like
Turkey. The only negative was the beach which on close inspection was like a
giant ashtray, I've never seen so many cig ends.
Overall we would definitely go again to this hotel
2008
We stayed in BRB for a week in the end of August. The hotel is great, it is
really European 5 stars and not Turkish. The hotel itself is not posh, but
still it is a pleasure to live in it. Moreover, each of us paid not so much
- about EUR 1,000 for one week stay.
Staff is very nice and polite, everyone speaks English. Rooms are big and
clean. As far as I understand each of them has balcony. You may have a room
with pool view or road view. If you want the sea view you should ask for a
room on one of the highest floors. Btw, the way to the sea takes about 5
minutes.
There are four pools in the hotel. Two of them are really big. In the end of
August the sea was much warmer than pools. However Bulgarian hotels do not
rent beaches, so they are quite dirty.
The hotel is surrounded by bars, restaurants, strip bars and clubs. We had
All Inclusive, but there is no need in it. Well, the prices are not low, but
it's much better to have a meal and drinks outside the hotel. But still,
hotel's food and drinks are good.
I was really pleased with Sunny Beach and BRB itself and will certainly
recommend this hotel to my friends.
2008
The room was huge, there were two beds pushed together to make one huge bed.
There was a sofa and a coffee table as well. The room had a safe for you to
lock up your valuables, and there was also a fridge. There was a nice lcd TV
there with quite a lot of channels, and a fair few in English. We managed to
find a movie channel which was nice for some of the evenings. You could keep
up to date with the world news as BBC news and CNN were available. The
bathroom was lovely - there was a bath with a shower over it, and a separate
shower cubicle. Plenty of towels and free toiletries which were of high
quality.
I also used the spa there - and although it's a little pricey it's certainly
a great experience. Very relaxing, high quality treatments.
